The Yonkers Police Department's Warrant Squad is seeking the public's assistance as they attempt to track down an alleged gang member wanted in the city.

An alert was issued this week for Adan Leon-Villano, 36, who is wanted by investigators on charges that include first-degree manslaughter and first-degree gang assault dating back to a previous incident in Yonkers.

Leon-Villano was arrested and released, and later failed to appear in court to respond to the charges, prompting the court to issue a warrant for his arrest.

Investigators describe Leon-Villano - who has no known birthday - as a 5-foot-7 Hispanic man weighing approximately 165 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes, and a medium build. He also has tattoos on his left arm, left wrist and neck. He was last known to reside near Nodine Hill and Park Hill Avenue.

Anyone with information regarding Leon-Villano’s whereabouts, or who recognizes him, has been asked to contact the Yonkers Police Department’s Warrant Squad by calling (914) 377-7253 or sending an anonymous tip by texting the keyword “YPD” plus the tip to 847411.
